He has been involved in the management of Systema Japan since its early days, and has made a significant contribution to the development of the Systema community and the training of instructors in Japan. His outdoor Saturday classes are extremely popular, and while they offer a practical approach and in-depth learning, they also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes even first-time participants feel at ease.

Brett's calm and honest personality, solid skills, and personal leadership style have earned him the trust of many members over the years.
With a perspective cultivated in an English-speaking country and deep martial arts experience, Brett is one of the few instructors who can teach Systema in both Japanese and English. In Brett's classes, you will naturally come into contact with English expressions while learning the essence of Systema, so it is also recommended for those who want to enjoy an international environment!

YUMI

Since 2014, she has been undergoing intensive Systema training both in Japan and overseas, continuing her studies at the headquarters. In 2015, she became the first Japanese woman to receive certification as an Applied Systema instructor from Systema founder Mikhail Ryabko in Moscow, and in 2016 was officially recognized as an instructor by the Moscow headquarters. She was then awarded instructor qualifications at the Toronto headquarters, and is currently working as a double-licensed instructor with the headquarters. Her teaching, which takes advantage of a woman's unique perspective and incorporates a holistic approach that emphasizes anti-aging and harmony of the mind and body, has garnered widespread support.

She is the only female instructor in Systema Japan. Despite her lovely appearance, she has a strong core and high physical ability, and her sincere instruction that values the essence is what makes her so appealing. Shinya Otani
Systema Japan Lead Instructor
He began training in Systema in 2014. He obtained IIT certification at the Moscow headquarters, and then received instructor certification at the Toronto headquarters. He continues to train today, valuing continuous learning.
He sees the appeal of Systema as "a martial art that allows you to apply what you learn to your daily life," and values an attitude of enjoying growth rather than excessive competition. He aims to expand the potential of each individual through training that can be continued naturally and without strain.
[From Systema Japan]
An attractive instructor with a warm personality and a stable leadership style. She values a balanced lifestyle and enjoys her daily life while continuing to learn, giving many members a sense of security and positive inspiration. Her natural and comfortable classes are popular for their relaxing and deep learning!
Hirokimi Hirai
Systema Japan Lead Instructor
He learned Kendo in his teens, and in his 30s, he explored the essential use of the body through Sotaiho. In his late 40s, he broke his spine and, while undergoing long-term rehabilitation, he realized the body's potential for recovery without strain, and in 2015 he encountered Systema. He was attracted to Systema, which is practical yet deeply touches on the human condition, and continued to study it, receiving IIT certification from Master Vladimir Vasiliev in 2023.
His attitude of continuing to grow regardless of age is an inspiration to many members. His lifestyle of carefully living each day while maintaining youthful condition embodies the Systema philosophy of "evolution beyond age."
[From Systema Japan]
He has a calm and quiet presence, yet also possesses inner strength. His teaching style, which involves careful dialogue with the body, is reassuring, and her practical knowledge based on his rehabilitation experience, combined with his instruction centered on effortless movements and natural recovery, makes his ageless in his movements a must-see!
[Comment from the artist]
I still can't forget the shock I felt the first time I received a strike from Mikael. It didn't hurt, but it resonated deeply, and for some reason, my shoulders felt lighter afterwards. As Mikael said, I want to train to be a "good person," know myself, and respect my opponents.
Kazumi Watari
Systema training started in August 2014.
Certified as IiT by Michael Ryabco in May 2018.
I was impressed by the fun atmosphere of the training and the unique and profound practice method that does not memorize the pattern, so that the body can move naturally.
I started Systema with no experience in martial arts and martial arts, so I think it is the appeal of Systema that anyone can start it.
Kyotaro Tachikawa
Inspired by Goki Shibukawa, he started Aikido and later discovered Systema.
During his university years, he traveled to Toronto to meet Vladimir Vasilev and became the youngest person at the time to qualify for Iit.
After returning to Japan, he founded Systema Chiba University and joined the Systema Japan staff.
In 2017, he was promoted to a certified instructor.
I like baths, beer, and manga.
