BRETT ADAMS
With 43 years of martial arts experience, Brett encountered Systema in 2006. He became a certified instructor under Vladimir Vasiliev in 2010, and later received additional instructor certification from Systema founder Mikhail Ryabko. He continues to train regularly at the Systema headquarters in Moscow and Toronto, receiving direct instruction from Vladimir Vasiliev as well as senior headquarters instructors.
Since the early days of Systema Japan, he has been actively involved in its development, contributing greatly to the growth of the Systema community in Japan and the training of new instructors. His Saturday Outdoor Class is highly popular for its practical approach and depth of training, as well as the warm and welcoming atmosphere that allows even first-time participants to feel comfortable.
From Systema Japan
Brett’s calm, sincere character and reliable skill set have earned him the trust of many students over the years. With experience shaped by both English-speaking culture and traditional martial arts training, he is one of the few instructors in Japan who teaches Systema in both English and Japanese. His classes offer the opportunity to study the essence of Systema while naturally experiencing English communication, making them ideal for those who enjoy an international training environment.

I will never forget the shock I felt when I received Mikael's strike for the first time, and the surprise of having a lighter shoulder and no pain.
I want to train to know myself better and respect others so that I can become a "good person" as Michael said.
Kazumi Watari
Systema training started in August 2014.
Certified as IiT by Michael Ryabco in May 2018.
I was impressed by the fun atmosphere of the training and the unique and profound practice method that does not memorize the pattern, so that the body can move naturally.
I started Systema with no experience in martial arts and martial arts, so I think it is the appeal of Systema that anyone can start it.

I like baths, beer, and manga.
